I bought these pants last week:
The Lilly Pulitzer Kristen Capri Pant.
But, I have no idea what sort of top to put with them....or, I should say, I haven't been anywhere to look around for a top. Would you put a colored or white shirt and what style? I'm not coming up with any good ideas, so if you have seen something really cute or have a link, I would love for you to share it with me!!

I would probably pair those with a bright pink or bright green or bright blue type of top. I wouldn't do white since the pants are all black/white & it may become overly black & white if that even makes sense? :)

ReplyDeleteCute pants!! They look brown to me, correct? I would do a pink, coral, or blue top with them (perhaps a cardigan for work?). I think you can pull off a sweater, a dressy tee, a button down, whatever. If they happen to be black and white, rock the yellow!! It's my new favorite color combo! Lands End has great cardigans and you could get one with a brown monogram to match- tres prep! JCrew's Jackie cardigans are great too.

ReplyDeleteI would wear with color... blue, pink, green... the pants are adorable, and almost neutral, so don't feel like you have to go uber-conservative on a top. Love them!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite new outfit is a black and white top with black pants...here is how I made it into a killer outfit...I put a turquoise short sleeved cardigan over the top and a cherry red long beaded necklace...I have only worn it one time but I felt so good in it and got a TON of compliments the night I wore it. The turquoise and the red together gave me just the artistic flair I like.

I think a hot pink top would be cute! Maybe with like one of those cardigans with the ruffles along the front??
