Does anybody know what happened to Katie Lake over at A Southern Girl in the City? Did I miss something? I had like 18 updates in my reader, but all were from some guy named Roger about car insurance..... it's so weird!
Has anybody else gotten this, too? Did she change her web address without me knowing?
This Roger fellow is quite annoying....I don't really care about his posts on car insurance, I just want Katie Lake back! Any information you have would be GREATLY appreciated.
I am swamped at work right now, so I hope to have a post up about the bachelorette party soon!
**ETA: If you can't get rid of the Roger character, here is what I did. If Katie Lake was originally on your follow list and not one you added via Reader in th Add subscription place, then you can get rid of Roger and add Katie. What you have to do is go into blogger in your dashboard where it shows the blogs you follow. Click Manage. Then when you go to the list, you should find her under "oh, I just love it" but at this point, you're still seeing posts from Roger under this web address. I had to go to the settings and click quit following. This removed it from my reader, as well. Then I had to go back to her blog and click follow again. Now I no longer have A Southern Girl in the City on my reader, and am not receiving Roger's posts.
Does this make sense??

Same thing happened to me! I have removed this car insurance character twice, and he shows up as a different blog! Grr!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like maybe she got hacked some how. I thought this stuff only happened on Myspace but it seems they are infecting blogging now too. Boo. :( I hope you find the real Katie Lake soon. XOXO
ReplyDeleteI noticed the same thing! I ended up deleting the blog from my reader b/c his posts kept affecting my open window. I didn't want to delete- I enjoy her blog. Must have been hacked into. Doesn't Roger realize that no one is going to read his long, annoying car insurance posts??
ReplyDeleteShe moved her blog, he took her URL and now I cannot get it off my reader because google friend connect will not let me see all of my subscriptions. I am really angry over the situation and wish that she had let people know before she changed her URL. I have contacted google twice and it is still there, I guess I am going to have to think twice before following a blog. I just keep reporting his blog as SPAM.
